State Housing and Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said that as part of the campaign, the state government would form a task force and legal support group to help victims in need.

“We have seen young boys and girls suffer in silence and get psychologically scarred to the point that they are not able to lead productive lives as adults.

“Some young boys and girls have even taken their own lives due to the inability to cope with the psychological trauma of bullying,” he told a press conference here today.

Jagdeep Singh said the campaign would include public talks and flyer distribution in order to raise awareness and make bullies understand that their behaviour would no longer be tolerated in society.

“Those who are suffering from bullying can call our hotline that will be announced later,” he said. ― Bernama
