ALOR SETAR, Jan 23 — The police have arrested four suspected drug traffickers aged between 28 and 56 and seized heroin weighing 386.13 grams worth RM12,000 in three raids in the Kota Setar District.
Kota Setar police chief ACP Adzaman Mohd Jan said the first arrest was made at a fishing jetty in Kampung Sebatang Pinang, Kuala Kedah at 5pm yesterday where a 41-year-old man was held and heroin weighing 126.13 grams was seized.
“As the police overpowered the suspect, several clients who were buying drugs from him jumped into the sea,” he told reporters here today. Adzaman said another arrest was made at a house in Titi Gajah at 1.45am on Jan 2 where the police arrested two men aged 28 and 33 and seized heroin weighing 75 grams worth RM2,500.
He said the trio, who were tested positive for morphine, had since been remanded.
An 56-year-old unemployed man was picked up in Jalan Langgar at 9.15pm on Jan 15 where heroin weighing 185 grams wrapped in a newspaper was confiscated, he added. — Bernama
