LA PAZ, Oct 15 — A small aircraft carrying 14 people has gone missing in Northwestern Mexico, state government authorities said yesterday.

The plane was reported missing after it took off from Loreto, in Baja California Sur state.

“We have a report that a small aircraft with the tag XATXM, and with 14 people aboard, is missing,” Enrique Avalos, a Baja California Sur state transport official, told reporters.

There was no immediate word on passengers on the plane which belongs to the Guerrero charter company that flies between Baja California Sur and Sinaloa and Sonora states.
