Let’s Go Digital, it was published today.SEOUL, Jan 7 — Samsung has filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization (Wipo), and according to
The patents show a lot of promise, though no indication when or if Samsung will ever make them a reality.
The first phone has two displays that are wrapped around the phone’s body, but what is interesting is that the front display’s content relates to what can be seen in the back and vice-versa. Aside from the display, there is also a metal frame on the bottom and top side.
The displays are not always on – instead sensors will turn the second display on when they sense the phone has been turned over. While the display does stretch to the rear, only the top portion can be used as a touchscreen, allowing for the bottom to be gripped.
What use would be the second display? Well, it can display notifications, allow users to accept or reject calls or view messages and allow access to apps such as your gallery, email and the weather.
The second design patented is similar to the first but has a narrow bezel on the left side while the third model has a touchscreen running along to the back but via the bottom instead of the side.
