The Super League shot stopper who plays for Perak said the pair of 1-4 defeats to North Korea in the 2019 Asia Cup Qualifiers played at the i-mobile Stadium in Buriram, Thailand on Friday (November 10) and yesterday showed he had difficulty facing opponents who played at a high intensity.

“Letting in eight goals is very disappointing for a goalkeeper. For me, there’s a lot of room for improvement as I have only earned four caps with the national squad, and I will strive to fix my weaknesses.”

He was speaking to reporters after the national squad arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Thailand today.

With the two defeats, Malaysia has lost its chance of qualifying for the 2019 Asia Cup Finals in United Arab Emirates. ― Bernama
