LOS ANGELES, March 13 — Angelina Jolie is known for her love of tattoos and at last count, she’s reported to have over 15 tattoos on her, with the latest one having been done just shortly before her much publicised split with Brad Pitt.
Daily Mail reported that never-before-seen images of Jolie have surfaced showing her tattoo inked by famous Ajarn Noo Kanpai, an ex-monk whose tattoos are said to protect whoever has them.
Jolie was inked by Kanpai in Siem Reap, Cambodia while she was there directing her Netflix movie First They Killed My Father. Kanpai was reportedly flown over from Bangkok to work on the inkings for Jolie and Pitt.
These latest photos show Jolie's back still red from the recent tattoo of mystical sak yant inkings. According to Daily Mail, Jolie opted for the ancient handheld method of inking, which involves steel rods mounted with a surgical steel needle to apply the tattoo, which is more painful but apparently more accurate.
Her now estranged beau, Pitt, was also inked by Kanpai on the same trip, although his is on the left side of his stomach and is of a Buddhist symbol.
Ironically, the designs on both superstars were meant to ‘symbolically bind them as husband and wife’ but it looks like it didn’t work.
