The 15-episode first season of Star Trek: Discover will be broadcast in two parts when it arrives in September 2017.

Between September 24 and November 5, eight episodes will be made available on a weekly basis, after which the series will take a break until January 2018.

Conceived as a prequel to Gene Roddenberry’s original 1966 TV series, Star Trek: Discovery features Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Doug Jones (Pan’s Labrynth), Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful), Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock), and Anthony Rapp (A Beautiful Mind).
