LOS ANGELES, Jan 23 — Ryan Reynolds has reportedly been signed on to star in and produce cult classic Clue.
According to Deadline, the board game remake will be produced under Reynolds’ production banner Maximum Effort for 20th Century Fox. The Deadpool star has signed a three-year first-look deal with the studio.
Clue will be a completely new adaptation of the Hasbro board game with Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick handling the script.
The original 1985 film starred Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, and Christopher Lloyd among others. Curry played the role of the mysterious butler Wadsworth who was tasked with figuring out which of the six colour-coded suspects in an old mansion did the deed of doing Mr Boddy in.
