LOS ANGELES, Oct 13 — It will be a bittersweet moment for fans, but almost three months after the death of singer Chester Bennington, Linkin Park have shared the episode of Carpool Karaoke they filmed with actor Ken Jeong in July.
Bennington’s body was found just six days after that at his home in LA County on July 20.
The coroner ruled that Bennington, 41, had apparently hanged himself.
The 23-minute episode is being streamed for free on Facebook with the permission of Bennington’s family.
“With the blessing of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester,” a message at the beginning of the video, which was posted on the band’s official Facebook page and Apple Music, reads.
The episode sees Bennington, along with band mates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn, driving around Los Angeles with Jeong and singing along to their hits, including Numb, In the End and Talking to Myself.
It also sees a smiling Bennington join in with renditions of songs by Aerosmith, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and sharing personal anecdotes.
