The book tells the true life story of two African-American brothers, George and Willie Muse, who were kidnapped as children in 1899 by a white man who offered them candy.

They were later displayed as circus freaks, performing for royalty at Buckingham Palace and headlining over a dozen sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Their mother had no idea what had become of her sons, and never accepting that they were “gone,” spent 28 years trying to get them back.

As well as working as one of the movie’s producers, DiCaprio will also potentially star in the project. — AFP-Relaxnews
