LOS ANGELES, June 16 — It's the film driven by music and set to be a summer blockbuster according to many critics.
Baby Driver the latest from director Edgar Wright, is about a young and talented getaway driver named Baby, who uses music to both combat tinnitus that he developed following an accident as a child, and to heighten his focus behind the wheel.
Wright says: “I think in a way it's sort of surpassed what I dreamed up. I didn't really finish this script until like six years ago so it's something that's been like building up in my brain for a long time.”
In the driving seat heading up the cast is Ansel Elgort.
Elgort says: “Well, I think Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx and and Jon Hamm, all those guys, are stars too, and Edgar Wright. I get top billing but I think that's just... they were being nice.”
Actor Jamie Foxx says: “(Ansel Elgort) knows his music but when they say action it's mind-blowing so he, Jon Hamm, Kevin Spacey, all these guys man, and girls, Lily, Eiza, just amazing.”
Something British model and actress Lily James who plays Baby's love interest agrees with.
Lily James says: “He was amazing, he really did loads of training and he really pretty much all of it himself within reason and I felt very safe in his hands, which was nice. He takes it very seriously, he's very dedicated, committed actor.”
