“I am convinced that more fruitful outcomes will surely be yielded under the joint efforts of both the Sabah government and the Consulate General of China in Kota Kinabalu,” he said at the 67th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the opening ceremony of the Tianjin folk culture exhibition here, tonight.

His text was read by Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

Reviewing the work of the Chinese Consulate General in Kota Kinabalu, Musa said, it had made remarkable and efficient efforts in the aspect of education, culture, tourism, and trading this year.

“It has further strengthened the relationship between Sabah and China and ensured mutually beneficial collaboration,” he said.

He added the Sabah state government would continue to provide support and assistance to the Chinese Consulate General here.

On the anniversary, Musa wished China all the best in future and hoped that the friendship between China and Malaysia stayed strong in the years to come. — Bernama
