News portal Malaysiakini reported a letter by Azmin, who is PKR deputy president and Selangor Mentri Besar, dated today that requested all component parties in Selangor PH to name four formal representatives from each party.

“I asked for the seat negotiation meeting in Selangor to be conducted immediately,” Azmin was quoted as saying.

Malaysiakini reported that PKR has appointed its state deputy chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian, Subang MP R. Sivarasa and Seri Andalas assemblyman Dr Xavier Jayakumar as their representatives.

Amanah, DAP and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia have reportedly called for Azmin to conduct a formal seat negotiation meeting under the Selangor PH framework, while PKR has claimed the parties met four times through PH’s election committee to discuss the allocation of seats for the 14th general election.

National newswire Bernama reported Dr Xavier as saying that PKR wanted to run in all the 21 state seats it contested in the 13th general elections. PKR had won 14; it holds 13 seats now after it sacked former Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim in 2014.

News portal The Malaysian Insight reported Selangor PKR Wanita chief Haniza Talha as saying today that her party was willing to give up some seats to PH allies, but told those parties to first prove that they could win.
