The 39-year-old unemployed woman was accused of forcing her daughters to have sex with three Bangladeshi men at a budget hotel in Larkin Perdana, Johor Baru, The Star newpaper reported today.

One of the foreigners was also believed to be the woman’s lover of eight years.

The police are investigating the case under Section 372 of the Penal Code for soliciting and Section 376 for rape.

State police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd was quoted as saying that his officers had been tipped off about the crime.

“We detained the mother on Oct 25 in Taman Bintang in Senai following a tip-off,” he told reporters after attending the presentation of certificates on cable theft prevention at Grand Paragon Hotel here yesterday.

Mohd Khalil said investigators learned that the mother would take her daughters to the budget hotel every Friday for the past month.

Police will also investigate the case under Section 14 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Immigrants Act 2007.

The authorities are also seeking the three Bangladeshi workers, with Mohd Khalil urging the public to provide his agency with any information they may have about the case.
