SHAH ALAM, May 20 — PKR Youth denied today the existence of competing factions in the wing, amid heated debates over an alleged tiff among its top leadership by its congress delegates.
Its vice-president Mohd Radzlan Jalaludin said members of the wing should refrain from agitating the party by suggesting bad blood between wing chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and his deputy Dr Afif Bahardin.
“There are concerns that there is a Team A and Team B in the wing. I want to tell you, that is only during party elections.
“Today, we are all one team,” Razlan told the congress here during his winding-up speech.
He also reminded delegates to close ranks ahead of the general elections.
This comes as PKR Youth’s top leaders were told today to resign by one of its congress’ delegates, in a scathing rebuke over graft accusations and their lack of initiative.
Melaka delegate Naqiuddin Nazrin also warned that the wing’s top leaders are perceived by the public to be involved in graft.
“I don’t see this as negative. We have to take this, we have to accept this,” said fellow vice-president Raymond Ahuar in his speech.
