KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed his condolences to the family of Umno Wanita Permanent chairman, Tan Sri Napsiah Omar, who died this evening.
Najib in a note on his Twitter page described Napsiah as an Umno fighter and a distinguished Malay figure.
“Innalillahiwainnailaihirajiun. I still remember the words of Allahyarhamah, that what makes Umno alive and strong are its members. May her soul be showered with mercy. Al-Fatihah,” said Najib today.

Napsiah, 74, died at 6.10pm at her son’s house in Ampang Jaya, near here due to liver cancer.
The remains were expected to be buried at Jalan Melang Cemetery, Kuala Pilah before Zohor’s prayers tomorrow. — Bernama
