KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — A man sustained serious injuries after the car he was driving skidded and plunged into a 10-metre deep hole at a construction site at Bulatan Kampung Pandan here last night.
Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Operations Centre chief Samsol Maarif Saibani said 15 firemen in four engines from the Pudu fire station rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at about 10.30pm.
He said firemen took about 10 minutes to remove Chandran Sekaran K. Mohan, 55, who was trapped in his seat after his Kia Spectra car plunged into the hole.
The man had lost control of the wheel, causing the car to skid and crash into a road divider, before plunging into the hole, he added.
He was then sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment. — Bernama
