PASIR SALAK, Feb 25 — A total of 374 members from the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) in Kampung Gajah today expressed their support for the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who has never forgotten about their well-being.
Kampung Gajah PVATM branch head Shamsuri Ahmad said all veterans were grateful for the government’s efforts to provide them with help.
“Many benefits and facilities are provided to veterans, including wheelchair assistance, beds and free treatment such as health checks conducted by the Armed Forces Hospital from Lumut, as well as today’s cheap sale, which helps us a lot.
“We are grateful for such benefits, as it shows that the leadership is concerned about the welfare of veterans,” he told reporters after the branch’s Annual General Meeting here today.
The event held at the Kampung Pasir Salak Multipurpose Hall was officiated by the Special Officer to the Defence Minister Dr Faizal Tajuddin, who is also Pasir Salak UMNO Youth chief. — Bernama
