KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — An unemployed man was sentenced to nine months’ jail by the magistrate’s court here today, when he pleaded guilty to molesting and insulting a woman, as well as spitting and humiliating her.
However, he will only serve three months’ jail as the court ordered the sentences on the three charges to run concurrently from the date of arrest on September 18, 2016.
Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abdul Wahid sentenced Wan Ibrahim Hamid, 37, to three months jail for using criminal force to push a 24-year-old woman on the chest with the intent to outrage her modesty on a RapidKL bus platform in front of Mydin supermarket in Pudu at 8pm on September 18.
He was also sentenced to another three months jail for making inflammatory remarks by insulting the victim and spitting to humiliate her at the same place, time and date.
The court also sentenced the man to three months’ jail for failing to produce his identity card during a police inspection at the Jalan Tun Tan Siew Seng bus stop at 8.15pm on the same day.
