KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 — Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua has been called for police questioning over a speech he made during the November 19 Bersih 5 rally.
The Opposition lawmaker is scheduled to have his statement recorded at the Sentul district police station at 11am tomorrow, according to a brief statement issued by the DAP.
The statement said the speech was made at the Bangsar LRT station, which was one of the meeting points during the electoral reform group’s street demonstration that day.
Based on video recordings, Pua had called for cleaner and fairer elections in his speech there, among others. It is unclear which part of Pua’s speech is being investigated.
