KUCHING, Sept 23 — A body believed to be of the 51-year-old sub-contractor, who was reported missing yesterday, was found in a thicket near Taman Seri Maya construction site, Pasir Pandak, near here, early today.

The body was found at around 10am by a member of the public, who subsequently notified the police.

Kuching Police Chief ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai said preliminary investigation revealed no physical injuries to the body, which had been sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for post mortem.

He said the police, however, were still awaiting verification from the sub contractor, Jong Khin Hien’s family.

Jong’s disappearance was reported by a 33-year-old male contractor around 8pm

yesterday, after he was informed by his staff via a phone call that the victim had not return to his car at the construction site.

After failing to find Jong, Abang Ahmad said, the contractor and his brother then lodged a report at the Santubong police station. — Bernama
