KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 2 — We’ve only just entered the second month of 2018 and it looks like the title ‘Wedding of the Year’ is done and dusted.
Two of Malaysia’s most powerful families were united in matrimony today.
SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin and Chryseis Tan solemnised their wedding in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, in an intimate ceremony today, according to media reports.
Pictures shared by family and friends with the hashtag #chrysfaliqeverafter show the 32-year-old son of the late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin and 29-year-old daughter of Tan Sri Vincent Tan exchanging vows in a flower-festooned, all-white marquis.
The bride had previously shared news of her engagement to Faliq who proposed in Marrakesh, Morocco in June last year through Instagram.
It is understood that the couple first met when they were in school.
Faliq is Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd deputy executive chairman and group managing director.
Tan is the CEO of Berjaya Times Square, executive director of Berjaya Assets Berhad and an investor in several brands including Greyhound Cafe and health concept La Juiceria. She is also considered a social media influencer and darling of society pages.
Naza Group is Malaysia's largest privately-owned conglomerate with businesses in the automotive, property, food & beverage and telecommunications industries.
Berjaya Group has businesses ranging from direct-selling and retail, to financial services and motor trading.
Faliq’s brother SM Nasarudin is married to Marion Caunter who found fame as one of the original hosts of 8TV’s Quickie.
