GENEVA, Nov 9 — Swiss watch brand Hublot has reworked its emblematic “Big Bang” wristwatch with the colours of the legendary London football club and 2016-2017 Premier League champion. This is the second watch designed by Hublot for Chelsea Football Club, following the “Classic Fusion” in 2016.
Hublot has history with the beautiful game. A Fifa partner as Official Timekeeper, the Swiss watchmaker has also joined forces with prestigious clubs such as Turin’s Juventus, Lisbon’s Benfica and London’s Chelsea FC. The watch brand’s latest collab with the English team is a special “Big Bang” model finished entirely in blue, the colour of the football club, founded in 1905.
Presented at the beginning of November at the Blues’ Stamford Bridge stadium, the “Big Bang Chelsea FC” has a 44mm satin-finish stainless steel case and a bezel made of carbon fiber and blue Texalium. Also finished in the colours of the club, the sunray dial has three counters, at three, six and nine o’clock. One is engraved with “SW6,” the Fulham postcode of the Stamford Bridge stadium.
This special-edition “Big Bang” watch has a date window at 4:30 and the Chelsea FC lion logo at 12 o’clock. The watch runs on the Hublot HUB4100 calibre, a self-winding chronograph. It’s water-resistant to 100 meters and has a 42-hour power reserve. The final touch to this model combining sport and style is a black rubber and blue alligator strap with white stitching.
The “Big Bang Chelsea FC” is a 200-piece limited-edition watch priced €15,500 (RM75,996). — AFP-Relaxnews
