Wine lovers can choose from 5,000 labels of worldwide products at affordable prices.

It also provides consumers special services such as bottle carvings and caters for last-minute shoppers who need a same-day delivery service.

Focus Dynamics Group Berhad known for its hip wine, whiskey and gin joints in Damansara launched the Ministry of Wine E-Commerce Site at Lavo, Damansara earlier today.

The event was officiated by the group’s executive directors Benson Tay and Edward Leung.

What sets them apart from their competitors is its user-friendly website and unique French wines which are exclusively available for purchase on their site.

Ministry of Wine also meets the sweet spot of demand and supply with the need for convenience and understand that fine wine consumers require customised services.

To those unsure about choosing the right wine, fear not, a live chat is available at the bottom corner of the webpage.

Ministry of Wine’s Wine Ministers will explain the finer points and cater to your taste profile along with food and wine pairings throughout the purchasing process.

“We want to engage with our customers on a daily basis which allows us to know their preferences,” Tay said.

”The appetite for wine is growing in Asia. Wine is evolving from a special occasion drink to a daily indulgence for some.

“At Ministry of Wine, there’s something guaranteed to tickle your tongue. All our wines are priced at its retail value too,” Tay said.

Focus Dynamics who owns Lavo, Chaze and Maze — wine, whiskey and gin joints respectively — said users can expect Malaysia’s first wine application via the Play Store on Android or Apple’s App Store by the end of June.

“Our aim is to provide customers features they’ve never seen before together with a more convenient way to purchase wine.

“In addition, we have a large pool of customers who are familiar with our other F&B brands and trust us to deliver the same level of services through the site,” Tay said.

Tay added the group’s F&B outlets sales of wine have also been rising steadily.

“Over the past year, we’ve seen 30 to 60 per cent of growth.

“For our site, we aim for a 3 to 5 per cent hike every quarter,” he said.
