The KTM SuperDuke 1290 R, nicknamed “the Beast,” will be one of the stars of the International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan this November.

The Austrian manufacturer’s latest superbike, weighing just 189kg, packs a 1301 cc engine with 180hp. The combination allows the bike to accelerate from 0 to 200km/h in just 7.2 seconds. The SuperDuke 1290 R is also equipped with an antilock braking system and traction control.

Presented in its prototype stage one year ago in Milan, the SuperDuke 1290 R will be premiered in its final version at EICMA 2013 and is slated to hit the market soon thereafter.

KTM is building anticipation ahead of the launch through a dedicated website, 1290superduker.com, and a YouTube video featuring the KTM SuperDuke 1290 R in action.
